Routes to Work Appoint Older Workforce Adviser

Routes to Work have appointed Peter McCarroll in a new post to help assist people over 50 years old back into the workplace.  He will be primarily linking with groups and organisations that engage with this age group and from there linking individuals into the range of services that North Lanarkshire's Working can deliver, such as help with CVs, interview techniques, access to training and funding, and support for carers.  Peter can be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Pat Shevlin, 54, from Holytown, is one of the 2092 people who has had help to find work.  After 34 years working in the banking industry, he was made redundant in October 2008.

Kicking unemployment is the goal at Motherwell Football Club

A group of Lanarkshire families have spent their summer getting ready to give unemployment the red card with the help of Motherwell Football Club.

A training programme called Fit for Your Family's Future was launched by North Lanarkshire's Working in partnership with the club on 20th July.
