A ground-breaking service to tackle unemployment in North Lanarkshire is being launched today (Wednesday, October 1) with the aim of getting 2,000 people into employment by 2010.

Lanarkshire’s Working, in partnership with Cumbernauld College, is hosting a Jobs Fair on June 3rd, 2008, to help people in North Lanarkshire find long term employment.

A group of North Lanarkshire jobseekers have found the recipe for career success with the help of a local employment initiative.

Jacqueline Corrie from Motherwell and Jean Rodger and Jennifer Beaton, both from Coatbridge, have found work with the Time Capsule Leisure Centre in Coatbridge after taking part in a training programme organised under the North Lanarkshire’s Working banner.

A group of North Lanarkshire young people have made a splash in the world of work with the help of a local employment project.

Coatbridge’s Time Capsule leisure centre has taken on five new employees after they successfully completed a training programme for school leavers and unemployed people organised in collaboration with North Lanarkshire’s Working Employability Service.
